Mustafa Nasiri

Dr. Mustafa Naseri holds a PhD in Agricultural Development Economics with a behavioral and experimental approach from the University of Giessen, Germany, a Master’s degree in Agricultural Development Economics from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from Kateb University, Afghanistan. He is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Giessen, Germany, while also serving as the President of the Gita Research and Action Institute. Dr. Naseri has around ten years of professional experience in development project management and technical advisory roles with major international and governmental institutions, including the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Afghanistan, and the Ministry of Agriculture of Afghanistan. In addition, he has several years of research experience collaborating with the University of Tsukuba in Japan and the University of Giessen in Germany. His research interests include agricultural development economics, rural development, food economics, and behavioral and experimental economics, and he has published academic articles in international journals in these fields. Alongside his academic and professional work, he is also actively engaged in social and cultural initiatives on a voluntary basis.
