Welcome to the Gita Research and Action Institute

Founded by a group of Afghan academics and professionals who sought refuge in Germany following the political changes in Afghanistan in August 2021, GITA Research and Action Institute is dedicated to harnessing the knowledge, academic expertise, and professional capacities of the Afghan diaspora to address pressing social challenges.

Through research, knowledge exchange, and community-based initiatives, GITA aims to contribute to addressing migration-related challenges, promoting the integration of migrants and refugees into host societies, and empowering vulnerable communities—particularly women, girls, disabled people, and disadvantaged children, including child laborers—both in Afghanistan and in countries hosting Afghan migrants and refugees.
